Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging Botany lessons for classes III to XII, ensuring alignment with the school’s academic standards and national curriculum.
- Develop laboratory experiments, field trips, and practical sessions that reinforce theoretical concepts and foster hands‑on learning.
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, assessment materials, and progress reports for each class, maintaining accurate records for internal and external audits.
- Mentor and supervise junior teachers and teaching assistants, providing guidance on pedagogical techniques and classroom management.
- Coordinate with the science department to integrate cross‑disciplinary projects, such as plant biology with environmental studies and agricultural science.
- Lead the annual school science fair and botanical exhibition, selecting student projects and judging entries.
- Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum review sessions, and professional development workshops to stay updated on Botany education trends.
- Engage with parents during parent‑teacher meetings, explaining student progress and offering strategies for academic improvement.
- Maintain laboratory safety protocols, manage inventory of botanical specimens, and ensure compliance with institutional regulations.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s science outreach programs, collaborating with local schools and community organizations.
- Support the school’s mission to produce disciplined, academically strong students who excel in national examinations.
Qualification and Experience
Post‑graduate degree in Botany or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for teaching positions; TET/CTET preferred but not compulsory. Minimum of four years of teaching experience at the PGT level, preferably in a school setting. Demonstrated ability to create engaging curriculum and manage a diverse classroom is essential.
Salary and Location
