About This Role
We require an accomplished PGT Mathematics Teacher to lead our Mathematics department at Vivek International Residential School in Madhepur, Madhubani, Bihar. The successful candidate will have extensive teaching experience and a strong academic background in Mathematics. As a senior member of our faculty, the PGT Mathematics Teacher will be responsible for curriculum ownership, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to academic planning and policy-making.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Mathematics to students in Classes XI and XII
- Prepare students for the Bihar Board examinations
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans and teaching strategies
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Guide junior teachers in Mathematics and provide support in their professional development
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide academic initiatives
- Participate in Mathematics department meetings and contribute to academic planning and decision-making
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress
- Stay updated on curriculum developments and best practices in Mathematics teaching
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Mathematics (M.Sc.)
- B.Ed. or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a senior secondary school
- NET or SET preferred but not essential
- Strong academic background and excellent teaching skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents
