Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Non-Teaching Trained (NTT) Mathematics teacher to join our team at a Tier 3 school. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and learning, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to inspire students to achieve their full potential.
KPIs and Outcomes (Leadership duties):
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to improve student outcomes in Mathematics
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives to improve Mathematics education
- Lead departmental meetings and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Ensure that all Mathematics teachers are supported and developed to meet the needs of students
Pedagogy Style (Advanced degrees):
- Possess a strong understanding of child-centered pedagogy and its application in the Mathematics classroom
- Have a good understanding of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
- Hold a Master's degree in Education or a related field
- Have experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Be familiar with current trends and developments in Mathematics education
Your Responsibilities (Mentoring and training):
- Provide guidance and support to newly qualified Mathematics teachers
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills of Mathematics teachers
- Mentor colleagues to improve their teaching practice and student outcomes
- Participate in peer observation and provide constructive feedback
- Develop and maintain relationships with local universities and education providers to enhance Mathematics education
Performance Expectations (Senior-level expectations):
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Mathematics curriculum that meets the needs of students
- Lead the development of departmental policies and procedures
- Contribute to the development of school-wide initiatives to improve student outcomes
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives on student outcomes
- Provide regular updates to the senior leadership team on Mathematics education

Preferred Skills:
