What You Will Do
Teach Computer Science to Classes 6-10 as per CBSE guidelines, ensuring concept clarity in programming, networking, and IT applications. Lead the department’s academic planning, including yearly teaching plans, practical lab schedules, and assessment frameworks. Monitor class-wise performance trends and implement targeted interventions for students scoring below 40% in term exams.
Develop and maintain a resource bank of question banks, lab manuals, and digital content aligned to the latest CBSE syllabus. Conduct regular workshops for students on Python, Scratch, and web design to boost interest and participation in Olympiads. Guide junior teachers in lesson planning, classroom management, and use of smart boards and projectors.
Oversee the Computer Science lab, ensuring availability of hardware, software, and internet connectivity for smooth practical sessions. Collaborate with the school’s IT team to troubleshoot lab issues and recommend upgrades within budget constraints. Present an annual subject report to the principal highlighting achievements, gaps, and future initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Computer Science or related field with B.Ed from a recognized university. Minimum 5 years of teaching experience as TGT Computer Science Teacher in a CBSE-affiliated school. Valid CTET or state TET score preferred for alignment with board requirements.
Fluency in Hindi and English is essential for classroom delivery and parent interactions. Prior experience in handling CBSE board exam batches as a subject coordinator is desirable. Familiarity with Python, C++, and web technologies will help in designing advanced lab activities.
