Job Description
At Nawada Public School in Nawada, we are looking for an experienced NTT Evs Teacher to lead environmental education initiatives for students. This role focuses on integrating practical, hands-on learning about nature, sustainability, and eco-conscious habits into the school curriculum. The teacher will work closely with students to develop a deeper appreciation for environmental conservation, local biodiversity, and responsible resource management.
The primary responsibilities include designing and implementing engaging EVS (Environmental Studies) lessons that align with school syllabi while encouraging real-world application. This involves organizing field trips to local farms, forests, and community projects to reinforce classroom learning. The teacher will also collaborate with other faculty members to ensure EVS themes are woven into interdisciplinary activities, such as science experiments or social studies projects.
Subject-specific duties include preparing lesson plans that emphasize experiential learning, such as gardening projects, waste management workshops, and energy-saving campaigns. The teacher must also assess students’ understanding through practical evaluations, like observing their participation in eco-drives or documenting their observations in nature journals. Keeping students motivated through interactive discussions and hands-on experiments is key to making EVS both educational and enjoyable.
Nawada Public School expects a dedicated teacher who can inspire young minds to take an active role in protecting the environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor activities and a strong commitment to fostering environmental stewardship in students. With three years of teaching experience, especially in EVS or related subjects, the right candidate will bring practical insights and creativity to the classroom.
For this position, a graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not strictly required. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.18,000 to Rs.25,000 per month, along with opportunities to contribute to Nawada Public School’s growing focus on sustainable education.
