Katahari Public School

When I first imagined Katahari Public School in the quiet village of Sathi, West Champaran, I wanted a place where a child from any corner of our district could walk into a bright classroom and feel that learning was theirs to claim. In 1991, with the support of the Al‑Karim Educational & Welfare Trust, we turned that vision into a modest building on three acres of land. Over the years that building has grown into a campus of spacious, digital‑enabled classrooms, well‑equipped science labs, a library that holds everything from classic literature to the latest science journals, and a sports ground where students chase cricket balls as eagerly as they chase academic goals.

Our school is English‑medium and co‑educational, offering a seamless journey from nursery through class 12. The CBSE affiliation ensures that every syllabus we follow is aligned with national standards, while the streams of PCM, PCB and Arts give senior‑secondary students the freedom to follow science, commerce or humanities according to their interests. We keep class sizes small enough that each teacher can notice when a student is struggling or excelling, and the digital tools in every room help us tailor lessons to individual needs.

Katahari Public School serves families across West Champaran—farmers, shopkeepers, teachers and anyone who believes that a solid education can change a life. We welcome boys and girls alike, and we provide transport so that distance is never a barrier. Our aim is simple: to equip our students with the knowledge, discipline and confidence they need to succeed in university, in a career, and in the larger world beyond Bihar.

Looking ahead, I remain convinced that the true measure of our school will be the stories of our alumni—students who once walked these corridors, who now return to help their own villages thrive. That is why we continue to invest in better laboratories, a richer library collection, and sports facilities that teach teamwork as much as textbooks teach theory. Every morning, as
