Role Summary
The school invites applications for a full-time PGT English Teacher in Chanakya Puri, Central Delhi. The role is designed for a post-graduate with at least three years of classroom experience in English pedagogy. The position focuses on delivering senior-secondary literature and language curricula through blended lessons that combine print, audio-visual, and digital texts.
Pedagogy and Tools
Daily instruction leverages smart boards for close reading of poems and plays, Google Classroom for assignment submissions and peer reviews, and the school LMS for storing student essays and recorded debates. Teachers curate multimedia playlists for Shakespearean drama and contemporary novels to support both in-class discussions and asynchronous learning. Regular use of digital annotation tools helps students highlight stylistic devices in poetry and track character arcs in novels.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver senior-secondary English lessons aligned to CBSE standards, ensuring coverage of prose, poetry, drama, and writing skills. Design formative assessments in Google Forms and upload results to the LMS gradebook within 24 hours of submission. Create flipped-classroom videos on literary devices and post them on the school YouTube channel for pre-reading preparation. Moderate weekly online literature circles in breakout rooms, assigning roles such as summarizer, connector, and vocabulary tracker. Conduct live doubt-clearing sessions using Google Meet for students preparing for board examinations. Organise inter-house declamation contests and inter-school elocution events using Zoom webinars for remote participants. Collaborate with the school librarian to digitise rare editions of British and Indian literature for research projects. Attend monthly PLC meetings in the staff room’s smart conference zone to review curriculum pacing and share best practices.
Eligibility Criteria
Post-graduate degree in English with a minimum of three years of teaching experience at the senior-secondary level. B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification mandatory; TET/CTET certificates advantageous but not required. Familiarity with CBSE English syllabus and assessment patterns is essential. Prior experience with Google Classroom, smart boards, and LMS platforms preferred.

Perks and Pay
