Job Description
Role Overview
The selected candidate will lead Mathematics teaching for senior secondary classes, designing and delivering the curriculum with autonomy appropriate to four years of teaching experience. Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining academic standards in line with the school’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed lesson plans covering Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry and Statistics, aligning with the prescribed syllabus for classes XI and XII.
- Conduct interactive classroom sessions that encourage problem‑solving, logical reasoning and analytical thinking.
- Develop and administer periodic tests, unit exams and board‑level assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
- Analyse student performance data to identify learning gaps and implement targeted remedial strategies.
- Coordinate with the Head of Department and senior staff to ensure coherence of Mathematics instruction across grades.
- Supervise practical sessions, including use of mathematical software or laboratory tools, and ensure safety and correct usage.
- Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to curriculum reviews and suggest enhancements based on current educational trends.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, marks and classroom activities as per school policy.
- Support co‑curricular activities such as maths clubs, Olympiads or inter‑school competitions, fostering a culture of mathematical excellence.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Minimum four years of full‑time teaching experience at the senior secondary level, demonstrating the ability to manage classes independently and make instructional decisions.
- Proven track record of achieving satisfactory academic outcomes in board examinations or equivalent assessments.
Compensation and Location
- Monthly salary range: Rs.40,000 – Rs.50,000.
- Position based at Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir, Preet Vihar, East Delhi, classified as a Tier 1 location.
- Full‑time employment with standard school working days and holidays as per institutional policy.
