Position Overview
The role is for a full‑time TGT Social Science Teacher at Bhai Parmanand Vidya Mandir, located in Preet Vihar, East Delhi. The teacher will be responsible for delivering the Social Science curriculum to students, preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging Social Science lessons for classes 6 to 8, covering topics such as history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Develop and implement assessment tools that align with the school’s academic standards and the Delhi state curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback to students on assignments, projects, and examinations.
- Participate in curriculum development meetings to ensure that Social Science content remains current and relevant.
- Mentor and support students in preparing for district and state level competitive exams.
- Coordinate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects that link Social Science with other subjects.
- Maintain accurate attendance records and report student performance to the principal and parents as required.
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events to stay updated on educational best practices.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and respectful discussion.
Qualifications and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in a relevant field such as History, Geography, Political Science, or Economics.
- Minimum of four years of teaching experience at the school level, specifically in Social Science.
- Demonstrated ability to design curriculum and assessments that meet state educational standards.
- Strong communication skills in Hindi and English, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
