Role Summary
We are looking for a TGT Social Science Teacher in Delhi to join Sneh International School for full-time teaching of students from grades 6 to 10. The role involves planning lessons, delivering engaging Social Science classes, and tracking student progress through periodic assessments. The candidate must have at least three years of teaching experience in a similar setting and a postgraduate degree in Social Science.

Day-to-Day Duties
1. Prepare and deliver lesson plans for History, Geography, and Civics for grades 6 to 10 as per CBSE curriculum.
2. Conduct interactive classroom sessions with the use of maps, charts, and multimedia to enhance conceptual clarity.
3. Prepare students for CBSE board exams and periodic assessments with a focus on answer writing and diagram-based questions.
4. Organize group discussions and debates on current social and political issues relevant to the syllabus.
5. Assign project work that encourages research and presentation skills among students.
6. Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and assessment scores.
7. Collaborate with subject teachers to align teaching methods and share best practices.
8. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and areas of improvement.
9. Contribute to school events such as quiz competitions, social science fairs, and cultural programs.

Eligibility

Must Have
- Postgraduate degree in Social Science (History, Geography, Political Science) with minimum 55% marks
- B.Ed degree from a recognized institution
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in a school setting
- Familiarity with CBSE Social Science curriculum and assessment patterns
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi

Good to Have
- CTET or TET qualified
- Experience with digital teaching tools and smart classrooms
- Previous experience in a CBSE school in Delhi/NCR
- Exposure to inquiry-based learning and activity-based teaching
- Participation in social science workshops or training programs

Preferred Skills
- Ability to simplify complex historical and geographical concepts for middle school students
- Skill in designing rubrics for project-based assessments
- Experience in using educational apps like Google Classroom, Kahoot, or Quizizz
- Strong classroom management skills with a focus on student engagement
- Willingness to mentor students for inter-school competitions
