JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled PGT Psychology Teacher to join our senior secondary department. The primary goal of this role is to deliver high-quality psychological education through the lens of inclusive practices. You will be responsible for teaching students in grades 11 and 12, ensuring that the curriculum is accessible to everyone regardless of their starting point. We believe in an education that promotes mental well-being and social equity, and we expect our faculty to mirror these values in their daily interactions.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and deliver engaging psychology lessons that cater to a wide range of learning styles and cognitive abilities.
Create an inclusive classroom culture where every student feels safe to express their identity and opinions.
Adapt and differentiate instructional materials to support students with diverse learning requirements.
Collaborate with the school inclusive education team to implement accommodations for students with specific needs.
Conduct regular assessments using diverse formats to provide an equitable platform for students to demonstrate their knowledge.
Organize workshops and seminars related to mental health awareness, empathy, and social inclusion for the school community.
Maintain professional records of student progress and participate in collaborative planning sessions with colleagues.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate must hold a Post Graduate degree in Psychology from a recognized university.
A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level is required.
TET qualification is not required for this specific position.
Strong understanding of inclusive pedagogy and classroom management is essential.
