The reality of this role
Teaching Physics to Grade 6-10 students at Gd Goenka School means turning abstract formulas into real-world stories. You’ll see students light up when they finally understand projectile motion or Ohm’s law. Every day is a mix of explaining concepts, running lab demos, and grading tests that show who truly gets the material. The school expects you to keep lessons engaging so students don’t just memorise but actually think like scientists.
What you will actually do
Prepare lesson plans aligned with the NCERT curriculum for Physics at the middle-school level.
Conduct hands-on experiments in the lab using simple equipment like circuits, lenses, and pendulums.
Set term-wise question papers and evaluate answer sheets with clear marking schemes.
Organise monthly science quizzes and inter-house physics competitions.
Attend weekly department meetings to discuss teaching strategies and student progress.
Maintain classroom discipline while encouraging curiosity and questioning.
Prepare students for inter-school science fairs and Olympiad exams.
Collaborate with the school IT team to use simulations and online tools for better understanding.
Who can do this job
You must hold a graduate degree in Physics with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. Three years of classroom teaching experience in Physics at the middle-school level is required. While TET or CTET is not mandatory, it is an added advantage. Experience with CBSE curriculum and lab-based teaching is preferred.
What you need to bring
Strong conceptual clarity in Physics topics up to Class 10.
Ability to explain complex ideas in simple Hindi and English.
Patience to handle students who find equations tough at first.
Willingness to stay after school for extra doubt-clearing sessions.
A habit of updating your own knowledge through journals and workshops.
What you get in return
Competitive salary with no bar for deserving candidates.
Full medical cover for the teacher and dependents.
Subsidised transport within Delhi NCR routes.
Access to the school’s well-stocked library and lab resources.
Professional development support for higher certifications.
