Gd Goenka School is inviting applications for a full-time Vocalist Music Teacher in New Delhi. The role requires a passionate vocalist with three years of teaching experience to nurture young talent in vocal music.
What you will do
Teach vocal techniques to students from grades 1 to 12 at Gd Goenka School.
Plan weekly lessons aligned with the school’s music curriculum and CBSE guidelines.
Conduct group and individual singing sessions for school assemblies and events.
Prepare students for inter-school music competitions and annual day performances.
Introduce students to Indian classical, semi-classical, folk, and contemporary genres.
Assess student progress through regular practice evaluations and feedback.
Collaborate with the arts department to integrate music with school activities.
Organize annual music festivals and vocal recitals at Gd Goenka School.
Maintain instruments and recording equipment for smooth operations.
What you need
Graduate degree in Music or equivalent from a recognized university.
Minimum three years of vocal teaching experience in a school or music academy.
Familiarity with Indian classical and light vocal traditions.
Ability to engage students in grades 1 to 12 with varied learning styles.
Experience in preparing students for competitions and cultural events.
Skills that matter
Strong vocal range and control with clear diction in Hindi and English.
Ability to teach both group and one-on-one sessions effectively.
Knowledge of raga-based pedagogy and modern vocal training methods.
Organizational skills to plan lessons and manage event logistics.
Friendly and patient communication style to build student confidence.
