Job Description
Delhi International Secondary School in Karawal Nagar, North East Delhi, seeks a dedicated TGT Sanskrit Teacher to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach Sanskrit as a core subject to students from Class 6 to 12, ensuring adherence to the school’s syllabus and assessment guidelines.
2. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate traditional Sanskrit texts with contemporary pedagogical methods.
3. Conduct regular classroom activities, including grammar exercises, poetry recitation, and cultural workshops to enhance language proficiency.
4. Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, including homework, quizzes, and periodic tests, while providing constructive feedback.
5. Collaborate with the academic team to design supplementary materials, such as workbooks or digital resources, to support Sanskrit learning.
6. Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum reviews to ensure alignment with national education policies.
7. Encourage extracurricular activities like Sanskrit competitions, debates, or cultural fairs to promote the subject’s relevance in daily life.
8. Maintain a disciplined and inclusive classroom environment, fostering respect for linguistic and cultural diversity.
A postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. Four years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is highly desirable. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be considered favorably. The role offers a competitive salary of Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month in Karawal Nagar, North East Delhi.
