About This Role
Yuvashakti Model School is committed to making every child’s first language experience joyful and confident. The NTT Hindi Teacher will design playful, activity-based lessons that build vocabulary, phonics, and storytelling skills for nursery and kindergarten learners. Your classroom will be a lively space where children speak, sing, and move while learning Hindi.
Your Students
In Rohini’s diverse classrooms, children arrive with varying home-language exposure and readiness levels. Some speak Hindi at home; others are encountering the language for the first time. Your role is to scaffold their learning through rhymes, picture cards, and group storytelling so every learner feels included and encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Hindi through songs, rhymes, and role-play to develop listening and speaking skills.
Plan weekly phonics and picture-word activities that match children’s readiness.
Use flashcards, puppets, and movement games to reinforce vocabulary.
Conduct circle-time discussions where children narrate short experiences in simple Hindi.
Support children who need extra help through peer pairing and one-to-one prompts.
Organize monthly Hindi rhyme recitals and storytelling sessions for parents.
Collaborate with the NTT team to align themes across subjects.
Maintain a cheerful, print-rich classroom with child-friendly word walls.
Eligibility
Postgraduate degree in Hindi or related discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum three years of teaching experience in nursery or kindergarten.
D.El.Ed or B.Ed with specialization in early childhood education.
Familiarity with activity-based and play-way methods for language learning.
Experience in inclusive classrooms with diverse learners is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Warm, patient communication style that builds trust with young learners.
Ability to differentiate instruction for varied readiness levels.
Skill in creating low-cost teaching aids using local materials.
Fluency in Hindi and basic English to interact with colleagues and parents.
Commitment to inclusive practices and gentle correction techniques.
