About This Role
Yuvashakti Model School is inviting experienced Post Graduate Teachers to lead the Biology department in Rohini, North West Delhi. This is a senior teaching position where you will shape the academic trajectory of Classes XI and XII students. You will also mentor junior staff, coordinate department activities, and drive board exam results. The role offers the chance to build a Biology program that balances depth with exam readiness, ensuring students are prepared for CBSE and competitive exams.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver high-quality Biology lessons for senior secondary students aligned with CBSE curriculum. Own the Biology syllabus from syllabus mapping to unit planning and assessment design. Conduct regular practical sessions, lab demonstrations, and project-based learning to strengthen conceptual understanding. Guide students in NEET preparation, Olympiads, and other competitive exams through structured mentoring. Monitor student progress through periodic tests and provide targeted feedback to improve performance.
Coordinate with the academic team to ensure timely completion of syllabus and integration of digital learning tools. Mentor newly joined Biology teachers through classroom observations, lesson debriefs, and resource sharing. Lead department meetings to review teaching strategies, share best practices, and set academic goals. Collaborate with parents during PTMs to discuss student progress and academic plans. Organize seminars, guest lectures, and field visits to enhance learning beyond textbooks.
Required Qualifications
Post Graduate degree in Science (M.Sc. in Zoology/Botany/Biology) with B.Ed. Minimum 5 years of teaching Biology at senior secondary level in a reputed school. Preference given to candidates with NET or SET qualification in Life Sciences. Prior experience in CBSE board exam paper setting or evaluation will be an added advantage. Familiarity with NEET syllabus and contemporary teaching methodologies is essential.
