Role Summary
Prabhu Dayal Public School is looking for a Post Graduate Trained Chemistry Teacher to join the senior secondary team in Kanjhawala, North West Delhi. The role involves teaching Chemistry to classes XI and XII, preparing students for CBSE board exams, and supporting academic growth for all learners in the classroom.
Your Students (diverse learning levels, inclusive classroom in North West Delhi)
You will work with students from varied backgrounds across Kanjhawala and nearby areas in North West Delhi. The classroom includes learners who need differentiated instruction, extra support for board-level Chemistry concepts, and guidance for competitive exams. Experience with inclusive teaching methods will help ensure every student grasps chemical principles clearly.
Day-to-Day Duties (differentiated instruction, support for all learners)
Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons aligned with CBSE Class XI–XII syllabus.
Use demonstrations, lab activities, and digital tools to explain complex concepts like thermodynamics and organic reactions.
Provide remedial support to students struggling with numerical problems or theoretical understanding.
Prepare periodic unit tests, mock exams, and revision sheets focused on board exam patterns.
Mentor junior teachers and assist in Chemistry department planning.
Organize subject enrichment activities, science exhibitions, and career guidance sessions for Chemistry students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress, lab inventory, and teaching resources.
Communicate regularly with parents about academic performance and areas needing improvement.
Eligibility
Postgraduate degree in Chemistry with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
B.Ed or M.Ed degree in Science or Chemistry specialization.
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Chemistry at senior secondary level.
Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and board exam trends preferred.
Preferred Skills (inclusive pedagogy, patience, communication)
Ability to simplify advanced Chemistry topics for diverse learners in North West Delhi.
Strong classroom management skills with patience for slow learners and fast learners alike.
Clear communication with students, parents, and school leadership in Hindi and English.
