PGT English Teacher Job in North West Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
The reality of this role
Mount Abu Public School in Rohini needs a PGT English Teacher who can handle classes from 9 to 12. You will plan lessons, teach literature, grammar and writing, set papers, check notebooks and talk to parents when needed. This is not a desk job—you will stand in front of a class every period and keep students engaged in English language and literature.
What you will actually do
Prepare lesson plans aligned to CBSE syllabus for classes IX to XII and keep them updated every term.
Teach prose, poetry, drama, grammar and composition with real examples that students can relate to.
Set and check monthly tests, half-yearly and annual exams for English and upload marks in the school portal.
Conduct remedial sessions for students who struggle with reading or writing after regular classes.
Organize English club activities, debates and declamations so students practice language beyond textbooks.
Attend staff meetings, subject teacher coordination and parent-teacher conferences on time.
Use simple ICT tools like PowerPoint and audio clips to make literature lessons more interesting.
Keep records of lesson plans, test papers, attendance and marks in the required registers.
Who can do this job
Postgraduate in English with B.Ed.
Minimum three years of teaching English at senior secondary level.
TET/CTET is not mandatory but preferred.
What you need to bring
Strong command over English literature, grammar and writing.
Patience to explain the same concept multiple times to different students.
Friendly yet firm attitude so students respect you and participate.
Willingness to attend training sessions and implement new teaching methods.
What you get in return
Salary Rs.40,000 to Rs.60,000 per month depending on experience and performance.
