PGT Music Teacher Position at Pratap International School in Rohini, Delhi
Pratap International School invites a qualified and experienced PGT Music Teacher to join its faculty in Rohini, North West Delhi. This role focuses on delivering high-quality music education, fostering creativity, and nurturing students’ artistic development within a dynamic academic environment.
The PGT Music Teacher will play a key role in designing and implementing music curricula aligned with school standards, ensuring engaging lessons across various grade levels. Responsibilities include teaching theory, practical instruments, and performance skills, while also mentoring students in extracurricular music activities. Collaboration with the music department and coordination with other teachers to integrate music into broader educational initiatives are essential.
A strong emphasis is placed on delivering structured yet creative lessons, incorporating modern teaching methods to enhance student participation. The ideal candidate will also assist in organizing school music events, competitions, and cultural programs, contributing to a vibrant arts culture. The position requires expertise in music pedagogy, classroom management, and a passion for inspiring young musicians.
To qualify, the candidate must hold a postgraduate degree in Music with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Four years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is mandatory. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, a strong teaching background and familiarity with school music programs will be highly valued.
This full-time role offers a competitive salary of Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 55,000 per month, along with opportunities to shape the school’s artistic growth in a supportive and innovative environment.
