About Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School | Delhi

Working at Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School feels like being part of a living, breathing community that has been shaping young minds since 1974. Nestled behind M Block in Model Town, Northex, and just a short walk from Saraswati Vihar in North West Delhi, the campus blends the quiet of a residential area with the energy of a school that serves around 1,600 eager learners. The school’s management, the Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School Society, gives teachers the space to experiment with ideas while keeping a steady focus on the CBSE curriculum, which means you’ll have clear guidelines for assessment and a well‑structured academic year.

The academic culture here is both demanding and supportive. Teachers are expected to prepare lessons that meet the rigorous standards of the board, but they are also encouraged to use the smart classrooms and well‑stocked science and computer labs to make concepts come alive. The student body is a mix of curious children from Nursery up to Class XII, many of whom have been with the school for several years and know their teachers by name. They are generally motivated, ask thoughtful questions, and enjoy the occasional debate or project‑based task that moves learning beyond the textbook. Because the school emphasizes English‑medium instruction, teachers get to hone their own communication skills while helping students develop fluency and confidence.

A typical day starts with a brief staff briefing where ideas for the morning assemblies or upcoming events are shared, then moves into classroom time where you might be guiding a class through a hands‑on experiment in the chemistry lab or leading a group discussion in a smart room. After the bell, there’s usually a window for parent interaction,
