Job Overview
Prabhu Dayal Public School invites a TGT Dance Teacher for grades 6 to 10. You will design lesson sequences that link classical, folk and contemporary styles to NCERT middle-school themes. Assessments are rubric-based and discussed openly with students and parents at open-house sessions. The post is full-time and needs three years of verified teaching experience plus a post-graduate degree.
What You Will Do
Plan weekly dance periods for three sections of each grade using the school’s digital lesson-planner.
Conduct formative assessments after every module and share feedback sheets with parents.
Organise the annual Inter-House Dance Fiesta, booking the Kanjhawala auditorium and managing student logistics.
Collaborate with the art and music departments to create cross-arts projects for Republic Day and Independence Day shows.
Prepare students for CBSE Expression Series and local zonal competitions with focused drills and mock performances.
Maintain an inventory of costumes, sound equipment and props in the dance room cupboard.
Attend fortnightly subject-group meetings in the staffroom to align syllabus pacing.
Submit a simple end-of-term report card highlighting skill growth and areas for summer practice.
Who Can Apply
Post-graduate in Dance or Performing Arts from a UGC-recognised university. Minimum three years of teaching dance to middle-school classes in a recognised school. Prior experience with Bharatanatyam, Kathak or contemporary styles is preferred. Knowledge of Hindi and English sufficient for classroom delivery and parent interactions.
Salary and Benefits
Remuneration is no bar for deserving candidates. You will receive Rs. 45,000 – Rs. 65,000 per month based on experience and interview performance. Benefits include provident fund, group medical insurance for parents and children, two sets of school uniform, subsidised canteen meals, and transport reimbursement up to Rs. 2,500 for local routes. Summer camp stipend and Diwali bonus are paid as per policy.
