Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging physical education sessions tailored to students’ ages and skill levels. Ensure safety protocols are strictly followed during outdoor and indoor activities. Prepare and maintain well-organized equipment and facilities for smooth operations. Collaborate with class teachers to integrate PE lessons into the broader curriculum.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and implement lesson plans that encourage participation, discipline, and sportsmanship. Assess students’ progress in physical abilities and provide constructive feedback to parents and teachers. Organize inter-house and inter-school competitions to boost school spirit. Participate in school events, including sports days and cultural fairs, to represent the institution.
Periodic Responsibilities
Coordinate with the school’s sports committee to plan annual sports events and tournaments. Update the PE curriculum based on feedback from students and administration. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations for all sports activities.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Physical Education or a related field. Four years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is mandatory. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, a valid certificate can be an added advantage. Knowledge of Delhi’s school curriculum and local sports standards is beneficial.
