About This Role
Arwachin International School is looking for a senior TGT Computer Science Teacher who can shape the department and drive academic excellence in Shahdara. This is a full-time position for a post-graduate with at least 2 years of teaching experience in Computer Science at the secondary level. The role offers an opportunity to take ownership of curriculum design, mentor junior faculty, and lead board results with a hands-on approach.
What You Will Do
Teach Computer Science to TGT classes following CBSE guidelines and Arwachin International School’s academic calendar. Plan and execute lesson plans that align with the latest syllabus while incorporating practical, project-based learning. Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide targeted feedback to improve learning outcomes.
Collaborate with the department to develop and refine teaching resources, including worksheets, lab manuals, and digital content for Computer Science. Organize and supervise computer lab sessions, ensuring that all equipment is functional and safety protocols are followed. Lead the preparation of students for CBSE board exams by conducting mock tests and revision sessions.
Mentor newly joined Computer Science teachers and trainee educators through classroom observations and feedback sessions. Guide students in participating in inter-school coding competitions, hackathons, and Olympiads to enhance their technical skills. Represent the school in subject-specific workshops and conferences across Delhi-NCR to stay updated on curriculum changes.
Coordinate with the school’s IT team to maintain the Computer Science lab infrastructure and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly. Prepare periodic reports on student performance and departmental progress for the school management. Contribute to the school’s annual academic audit and suggest improvements in teaching methodologies.
Required Qualifications
Post-graduate degree in Computer Science or related field from a recognized university. Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a specialization in Computer Science teaching. Minimum 2 years of full-time teaching experience in Computer Science at the secondary level in a CBSE-affiliated school.
CTET or TET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of CBSE Computer Science syllabus and assessment patterns is essential. Familiarity with Python, C++, Java, or other relevant programming languages is desirable.
