About This Role
As a PGT Economics Teacher in South Delhi, you will lead classes from Grades 9 to 12, preparing students for board exams while nurturing analytical thinking. You will design project work that links textbook concepts to current economic events in India and globally. The role is full-time and open to post-graduates with three years of teaching experience.
Day-to-Day Duties
Plan and deliver engaging Economics lessons for senior secondary students.
Create question banks aligned with CBSE exam patterns.
Organize quarterly economic debates and model UN simulations.
Collaborate with the Social Science team to integrate data analysis tools.
Guide students in preparing research projects on topics like GST, demonetization, or digital payments.
Conduct remedial sessions for students needing extra support.
Use smart classrooms and digital resources to explain demand-supply curves and macroeconomic indicators.
Attend weekly subject meetings to review student progress and adjust teaching strategies.
Who Can Apply
Post-graduates in Economics with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in a secondary or senior secondary school. B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET or CTET is preferred but not required. Familiarity with CBSE syllabus and exam formats will be an advantage.
