Chinmaya Vidyalaya

When I first imagined a school for the families of Saket, I wanted a place where the rigour of the CBSE curriculum could sit side‑by‑side with the values that have guided our tradition for generations. That vision took shape in 2005, when Chinmaya Vidyalaya opened its doors on a green 3.5‑acre plot just a stone’s throw from the Saket Metro station and the Garden of Five Senses. From the very first day we have been a co‑educational day school, welcoming children from nursery through class XII, all taught in English but grounded in the cultural and spiritual heritage of India.

Our purpose is simple: to nurture young minds who are intellectually curious, physically energetic, emotionally balanced and spiritually aware. The Chinmaya Vision Programme drives everything we do, weaving together physical education, mental agility, intellectual depth and spiritual reflection. In practice this means a classroom where project‑based learning replaces rote drills, where a child’s love for mathematics can be explored through a robotics challenge in the Atal Tinkering Lab, and where a story from the Ramayana can spark a discussion on civic responsibility. We honour each student’s unique strengths by applying the theory of multiple intelligences, so a quiet thinker, a budding artist, or an aspiring athlete all find a place to excel.

Our campus reflects the same blend of tradition and modernity. Smart audio‑visual classrooms bring global perspectives into our lessons, while fully equipped science and computer labs let students test hypotheses and code their ideas. The library, stocked with both classic literature and contemporary titles, is a quiet refuge for those who love to read. Sports fields, a basketball court and a well‑maintained track encourage daily physical activity, and a small infirmary staffed by a qualified nurse ensures that health is never overlooked.

We serve families who seek more than academic results; they want their children to grow as responsible citizens of India and confident participants in a rapidly changing world. Every year, as we watch our students graduate and step into colleges, workplaces or community service, I am reminded that
