About Hari Vidya Bhawan Sr. Sec. School

Hari Vidya Bhawan Senior Secondary School has been a fixture of the Sangam Vihar neighbourhood since the turn of the millennium. Run by the Dhankar Educational Society, the campus at K‑II/600 feels more like a small town than a typical city school. The administration values steady growth over flash, and teachers find that decisions are usually discussed in open meetings rather than imposed from a distant office. The daily rhythm includes regular staff‑room chats over tea, a clear schedule that respects personal time, and a genuine effort to keep paperwork to a minimum so that educators can focus on classroom work. Because the school is a day‑only institution, there is a steady flow of families throughout the day, creating a lively but manageable environment.

The student body is co‑educational, ranging from nursery children to Class 12 seniors who choose Humanities or Commerce streams. Most families live in the surrounding blocks of Sangam Vihar, Shahdara and nearby areas of South Delhi, and they tend to be very involved in school life, attending parent‑teacher meetings and volunteering for cultural events. Learners are curious and often eager to use the smart‑class technology that the school has invested in, while still appreciating the more traditional aspects of learning such as the well‑stocked library and the hands‑on science and computer labs. The community is diverse in terms of language and background, which means classrooms are vibrant and teachers regularly encounter different perspectives.

Academically the school follows the CBSE curriculum and places a strong emphasis on using the audio‑visual tools in its smart classrooms to make lessons interactive. Teachers are encouraged to blend textbook knowledge with project‑based activities, especially in the senior secondary years where students are preparing for board examinations and future studies. Those who enjoy experimenting with digital resources, designing inquiry‑driven lessons, and guiding students through independent research will feel at home here. If you are a teacher who likes to collaborate with colleagues, values a supportive parent network, and wants to make a tangible difference in a school that balances modern facilities with a close‑knit community, Hari Vidya Bhawan offers a setting where you can grow
