A strong foundation in sociology with a postgraduate degree is essential for this role. Candidates should hold a master’s in Sociology or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Prior teaching experience in sociology, particularly at the postgraduate level, is highly valued, though not mandatory. While TET/CTET certifications are not required, a teaching license would be an asset. Experience in curriculum development or mentoring students in advanced sociological studies would further strengthen your application.
