Role Summary
Sachdeva Global School in Dwarka, South West Delhi is looking for a TGT Sanskrit Teacher to teach Grades 6 to 10. The role involves planning and delivering engaging Sanskrit lessons aligned with CBSE curriculum. You will assess student progress through periodic tests and interactive assignments, ensuring conceptual clarity in grammar, literature, and vocabulary.
How You Will Teach
You will use activity-based methods like word-building games, story narration in Sanskrit, and simple skit performances to make the language accessible. Regular use of audio-visual aids and digital flashcards will reinforce learning. Collaborate with Hindi and English departments to integrate cultural and linguistic connections across subjects.
What You Will Do
Prepare lesson plans for grammar topics such as sandhi, samas, and karak with practical examples from everyday life.
Conduct weekly vocabulary quizzes and monthly literature discussions on famous Sanskrit verses.
Organize Sanskrit Diwas events and inter-house shloka recitation competitions.
Design remedial sessions for students struggling with declensions and conjugations.
Create student portfolios to track progress in reading, writing, and speaking Sanskrit.
Coordinate with co-teachers for interdisciplinary projects involving Sanskrit heritage.
Assist in preparing students for Sanskrit Olympiads and CBSE board exam patterns.
Communicate with parents quarterly through progress sheets and feedback sessions.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with minimum 50% marks.
B.Ed or M.Ed in Sanskrit from a recognized institution.
TET or CTET is not required for this TGT position.
Three years of teaching Sanskrit at middle or secondary level in a CBSE school.
