How You Will Teach
As a PGT Biology Teacher at St. Cecilia Public School, you will be responsible for using a variety of practical methods to engage students and promote deeper understanding of biological concepts. This will include the use of hands-on activities, experiments, and practical exercises to facilitate learning. You will also be expected to use technology and multimedia resources to enhance teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lessons to students at the senior secondary level
- Conduct experiments and practical activities to demonstrate biological concepts
- Develop and implement assessment strategies to evaluate student learning
- Provide guidance and support to students on career pathways and university applications
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Biology curriculum and assessments
- Participate in academic planning and department meetings
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Develop and maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Participate in school events and activities, including parent-teacher meetings and open houses
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biology or related field (M.Sc.)
- B.Ed or M.Ed degree
- NET or SET certification in Biology
- TET or CTET certification is not required for this role

- Strong subject knowledge and pedagogical skills
- Experience with teaching Biology at the senior secondary level
- Ability to use technology and multimedia resources to enhance teaching and learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
