Banasthali Public School in Patel Nagar, West Delhi, seeks a dedicated PGT History Teacher to join its esteemed faculty. This role focuses on delivering high-quality history education to students in senior secondary classes, blending academic rigor with engaging classroom experiences. The teacher will report directly to the History department head, ensuring alignment with school curriculum goals and departmental objectives. Responsibilities include designing lesson plans, delivering lectures, and assessing student performance while maintaining a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Core Duties
Teaching history subjects at the senior secondary level, ensuring alignment with CBSE syllabus and state curriculum standards.
Developing and implementing innovative teaching strategies to enhance student engagement and comprehension of historical events.
Assisting in organizing school events, workshops, and extracurricular activities related to history, such as debates, model demonstrations, and field trips.
Collaborating with colleagues to refine teaching resources, including textbooks, worksheets, and multimedia presentations.
Evaluating student progress through continuous assessment, quizzes, projects, and examinations, while providing constructive feedback.
Participating in departmental meetings and curriculum reviews to ensure consistency and improvement in history education.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline with a strong academic background in the subject.
Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree to qualify for the PGT position at a reputed school.
Minimum three years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level, preferably in a school environment.
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in shaping student interest through interactive and project-based learning.
A valid TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
