About This Role
As a PGT History Teacher in West Delhi, Delhi, you will design and deliver lessons for Classes 11 and 12 under the CBSE framework. Your role includes guiding students through source-based questions, map work, and project-based assessments that go beyond textbooks. You will also mentor students for inter-school quiz competitions and heritage walks around Delhi.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and teach weekly History lessons for Classes 11 and 12 with clear learning outcomes.
Create classroom resources such as timelines, case studies, and primary source extracts.
Assess students through term-end papers, project work, and oral presentations.
Organize at least two heritage walks per academic year within Delhi’s historic precincts.
Collaborate with the Social Science team to align History content with Political Science and Geography themes.
Conduct remedial sessions for students who need extra support in analytical writing.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings to explain student progress in History.
Attend staff meetings, subject workshops, and annual academic audits.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in History with minimum 55% marks from a recognized Indian university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Minimum 2 years of teaching History at the senior secondary level.
CTET or TET qualification is an advantage but not mandatory.
Familiarity with CBSE History syllabus and exam patterns is preferred.
