About This Role
This PGT History Teacher vacancy in West Delhi is for a full-time post at Lt. Col. Mehar Little Angels Sr. Sec. School, Rajouri Garden. You will teach Classes XI–XII, design lesson sequences that connect ancient texts to modern debates, and help students frame their own questions about the past. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging History lessons for senior secondary students using textbooks, maps, primary sources, and digital timelines.
Assess classwork, assignments, and periodic tests; provide feedback that is specific, actionable, and encouraging.
Organize at least two departmental discussions each term to review syllabus coverage and share resource links.
Coordinate with the Social Science team to align History content with Political Science and Geography wherever overlaps occur.
Mentor two student monitors who assist with classroom materials and maintain the departmental notice board.
Contribute to annual academic audits by submitting term-wise progress reports on time.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings and explain board exam patterns and marking schemes clearly.
Attend staff briefings on curriculum updates, safety drills, and local events that may affect school routines.
Eligibility Criteria
Graduation in History with minimum 50% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with History as a main subject.
Three years of classroom teaching experience in senior secondary History.
Preference for candidates familiar with CBSE question paper patterns and internal assessment formats.
Familiarity with Rajouri Garden’s school ecosystem and local student demographics is a plus.
