About This Role
New Delhi Public School is seeking a highly experienced and qualified PGT Mathematics Teacher to lead its mathematics department in Patel Nagar, West Delhi. As a key member of the school's senior teaching staff, the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching mathematics to students from grades IX to XII, coaching for board exams, and contributing to the development of the department.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach mathematics to students from grades IX to XII, adhering to the CBSE curriculum and ensuring effective learning outcomes.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and projects that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Coach students for board exams, providing individualized guidance and support to ensure excellent results.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum reforms and improvements.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of mathematics curriculum and resources.
- Supervise students during non-teaching hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute to the overall development of the school.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in mathematics (MA, MSc, or equivalent) and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. A minimum of three years of experience in teaching mathematics in a senior secondary school setting is required. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a TET or CTET certification.
