About This Role
G.d Goenka School is looking for an experienced Post Graduate Teacher in Political Science to join its senior academic team at the Rajouri Garden campus. This is a full-time position for a candidate who can lead the subject department while delivering high-quality instruction to students preparing for board examinations. The role requires a strong grasp of Indian and global political systems, contemporary issues, and pedagogical strategies suited for senior secondary classes.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Political Science to classes 11 and 12 following the CBSE curriculum with emphasis on conceptual clarity and analytical skills. Design lesson plans, assignments, and projects that connect political theory with current affairs relevant to students in West Delhi. Provide focused coaching for board examinations, including revision sessions, sample papers, and exam strategies.
Lead the Political Science department at G.d Goenka School, aligning content with CBSE guidelines and school academic goals. Organize inter-house debates, Model United Nations simulations, and guest lectures by political analysts or former civil servants to enhance experiential learning. Curate resource materials, including case studies, newspaper articles, and digital content tailored to the Rajouri Garden student community.
Ensure timely completion of syllabus while incorporating interdisciplinary links with History, Sociology, and Economics. Maintain accurate academic records, attendance registers, and assessment reports as per school policies. Participate in parent-teacher meetings and academic counselling sessions to support student progress in Political Science.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Political Science with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in senior secondary classes. B.Ed degree is mandatory; D.El.Ed holders may also apply if they meet subject specialisation criteria. TET or CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory for this position.
Familiarity with CBSE Political Science syllabus and recent examination patterns is essential. Prior experience in coaching students for board exams in Political Science will be an advantage. Candidates from Delhi-NCR with exposure to multicultural classrooms are encouraged to apply.
