How You Will Teach (specific to Economics — practical methods, tools, lab or activity work)
As a TGT Economics Teacher, you will use a variety of teaching methods to engage students in Economics lessons. This may include using case studies, simulations, and practical activities to illustrate economic concepts. You will also use visual aids and multimedia resources to enhance student learning and understanding.
Key Responsibilities (8 duties specific to Economics teaching)
1. Deliver Economics lessons to students in classes 6th to 10th, using a range of teaching methods and resources.
2. Prepare and administer periodic assessments to evaluate student understanding of Economics concepts.
3. Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
4. Conduct remedial teaching to support students who require additional help with Economics concepts.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Economics curricula.
6. Conduct parent-teacher meetings to keep parents informed about student progress.
7. Assist in organizing Economics-related school activities, such as quizzes and competitions.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and progress reports.
Eligibility (Economics-specific degrees and certifications)
To be eligible for the TGT Economics Teacher position, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Economics or a related subject. You must also have a B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree and be certified in TET/CTET. Prior teaching experience, particularly in Economics, is highly desirable.
