Your Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons for middle school students (Grades 6-8) following the school’s curriculum and instructional approach.
Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback.
Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students achieve their potential.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects, share best practices, and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, and extracurricular activities to foster strong school-community ties.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
Stay updated with the latest developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching strategies.
Mentor and guide students to develop not just academic skills but also critical life skills such as problem-solving, logical reasoning, and perseverance.
KPIs and Outcomes
Achieve student learning outcomes as per school and board standards, with a focus on improving average scores in mathematics.
Ensure at least 90% of students demonstrate a clear understanding of core mathematical concepts through assessments and projects.
Receive positive feedback from students and parents regarding teaching effectiveness and student engagement.
Collaborate effectively with peers, contributing to the planning and execution of school-wide initiatives.
Participate in at least two professional development activities per year and implement new strategies in the classroom.
Maintain a student attendance rate above 95% and ensure timely submission of progress reports.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field.
Post-graduate degree in Education or a relevant discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a middle school setting.
Strong knowledge of the CBSE/ICSE or state board curriculum for middle school mathematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with integrating technology in mathematics teaching (e.g., educational apps, online resources).
Familiarity with inquiry-based learning and project-based learning methodologies.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
