What You Will Do
Prepare and deliver daily Punjabi lessons aligned with CBSE guidelines for Classes 6 to 10, focusing on grammar, literature and spoken skills.
Design practice sheets, group activities and storytelling sessions that make Punjabi engaging for middle school learners.
Conduct periodic assessments, analyze results and provide focused feedback to help students improve vocabulary, pronunciation and writing.
Organize cultural assemblies, language fairs and inter-house competitions to showcase Punjabi talent within the school.
Collaborate with Hindi and English teachers to integrate bilingual projects that reinforce cross-language understanding.
Maintain classroom discipline, track attendance and update records in the school ERP system.
Attend department meetings, share best practices and participate in parent-teacher interactions when needed.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Punjabi with minimum 55% marks from a recognized Indian university.
B.Ed or M.Ed with Punjabi as a teaching subject.
Two years of full-time teaching experience in Punjabi for Classes 6 to 10.
Familiarity with CBSE curriculum and assessment patterns preferred.
Preferred Skills
Strong spoken and written Punjabi, with clear pronunciation and grammar mastery.
Experience using digital tools for language teaching, such as audio lessons or interactive quizzes.
Willingness to mentor students for inter-school Punjabi debates and recitation competitions.
Good communication skills in Hindi and English to support bilingual learners.
