Collaborate with the economics department to design unit-wise assessments, including quizzes, exams, and practical evaluations. Attend departmental meetings to discuss curriculum improvements and student performance trends. Participate in school-wide events, such as science fairs or career guidance workshops, where economics can be integrated meaningfully.
Periodic Responsibilities
Organize guest lectures or guest speaker sessions with local economists or business professionals to enrich student learning. Review and update textbooks, workbooks, or digital resources to ensure they meet current educational standards. Assist in preparing students for competitive exams like JEE or state-level board papers, offering targeted study support.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Economics with a minimum of three years of teaching experience. Possession of a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree is mandatory for this role. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position. Strong command over English and Gujarati is essential for effective communication with students and parents.
Salary and Location
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs.30,000 to Rs.55,000 per month, along with other benefits as per school policy.
