Role Summary
The Librarian plays a vital role in the academic and administrative structure of our premium school in Anklesvar, Bharuch, Gujarat. As a key member of our team, the Librarian is responsible for managing and maintaining the school library, supporting the school's mission, and promoting a culture of reading and learning.
What You Will Do
* Acquire, catalog, and maintain a diverse collection of books and other resources to support the educational needs of students.
* Develop and implement programs to promote literacy, reading, and research skills among students.
* Supervise and assist students with research and study skills, and provide guidance on information literacy.
* Develop and maintain a welcoming and inclusive library environment that fosters a love of reading and learning.
* Manage library budgets, coordinate purchases, and ensure efficient use of resources.
* Collaborate with teachers and administrators to integrate library services into the curriculum.
* Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the library.
* Supervise and train library staff, including library assistants and volunteers.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in library science and technology.
Required Qualifications
* Postgraduate degree in Library Science or a related field (M.L.I.Sc or M.Lib.Sc).
* Bachelor of Education or Master of Education (B.Ed or M.Ed) is desirable.
* CTET or TET is not required for this role.
* NET or SET is not a must-have qualification.
