As a PGT Economics Teacher at Green Wood International School, your role will include delivering advanced Economics courses to senior students, ensuring alignment with CBSE and state board syllabi. You will design engaging lesson plans that incorporate current economic trends, case studies, and interactive discussions to make complex topics accessible. Classroom management will involve creating an inclusive learning environment where students of varying economic backgrounds feel empowered to participate actively. Regular assessments will be conducted to evaluate understanding, with a focus on problem-solving and critical analysis. Collaborating with the Economics department will involve curriculum development and sharing innovative teaching strategies. You will also mentor junior teachers and participate in school-wide academic events, including guest lectures and workshops on emerging economic concepts.
To qualify for this PGT Economics Teacher position, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Economics with a strong foundation in macro and microeconomic principles. A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory for teaching roles. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory for this role. At least two years of relevant teaching experience in Economics, preferably at the senior secondary level, is essential. Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and the ability to adapt content for diverse student needs will be highly valued.
