Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging English lessons for classes 6 to 10, aligning with the school curriculum and national standards.
- Create and assess a variety of formative and summative assessments to track student progress and identify learning gaps.
- Incorporate modern teaching tools and digital resources to enhance classroom interaction and student participation.
- Mentor students in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, fostering a love for literature and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to integrate interdisciplinary projects that reinforce language concepts across subjects.
- Conduct regular parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student performance and provide guidance on home‑based learning strategies.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, lesson plans, and student progress reports in compliance with school policies.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and school events to contribute to a cohesive learning community.
- Support school initiatives such as English Olympiads, debates, and creative writing contests, encouraging students to showcase their talents.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that respects diverse learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate degree in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for teaching positions.
- Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- TET/CTET certification preferred but not required.
- Strong command of English language and literature, with the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Demonstrated ability to use technology effectively in the classroom.
Salary and Location
The role offers a competitive salary ranging from Rs.17,000 to Rs.35,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position is located at Billabong High International School | Vadodra, Vadodara, Gujarat.
