Reporting and scope
Reports to the Head of Science and Commerce Department.
Core duties
Curriculum delivery – Design and conduct lessons aligned with the state syllabus, ensuring concepts in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and Indian economic policies are clear and relatable.
Assessment and feedback – Prepare formative and summative assessments, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback to guide student progress.
Student engagement – Use interactive activities, debates, and current affairs discussions to stimulate interest in Economics.
Classroom management – Maintain a disciplined, inclusive learning environment that encourages participation from all students.
Collaboration – Participate in faculty meetings, contribute to curriculum reviews, and support peer teachers in cross‑subject projects.
Extracurricular involvement – Mentor school debate teams or economics clubs, enhancing practical application of classroom knowledge.
Qualification and experience
Post‑graduate degree in Economics or related field required. B.Ed or D.El.Ed mandatory for teaching positions; TET/CTET preferred though not compulsory. Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
