Job Description
TGT Chemistry Teacher Position at D S Sr Sec School, Tosham
Teach Chemistry to students in Classes 9 to 12 with a focus on aligning curriculum with CBSE guidelines. Develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate practical experiments, real-world applications, and interactive demonstrations to enhance understanding.
Prepare and evaluate weekly assignments, projects, and exams to assess students’ grasp of chemical concepts, periodic trends, and reaction mechanisms. Maintain detailed records of student performance and progress to inform teaching strategies and support individual learning needs.
Collaborate with the science faculty to design interdisciplinary projects, such as environmental chemistry or industrial applications of chemical processes, to broaden students’ perspectives.
Ensure classroom safety by supervising lab activities, providing proper equipment training, and addressing any hazards related to chemical handling.
Plan and conduct periodic review sessions to reinforce key topics, troubleshoot misconceptions, and adjust teaching methods based on student feedback and assessment data.
Facilitate extracurricular activities like science fairs, quiz competitions, or workshops to foster curiosity and hands-on learning in chemistry.
Maintain a clean, organized lab space and ensure all safety protocols are followed, including proper disposal of chemical waste.
Teach Chemistry with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree and at least four years of relevant teaching experience. A postgraduate qualification in Chemistry or a related field is mandatory.
