Day-to-Day Duties
- Design and deliver engaging and effective Political Science lessons to students in classes IX to XII, ensuring that curriculum objectives are met.
- Prepare students for board exams and internal assessments, providing regular feedback and guidance.
- Develop and implement curriculum materials, assessments, and evaluations in line with the National Curriculum Framework.
- Foster a culture of academic excellence and promote critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills in students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver co-curricular activities, such as debates, mock parliaments, and model UN sessions.
- Provide pastoral care and guidance to students, addressing their academic, personal, and emotional needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessment results.
- Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments in line with school policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the development of the school's curriculum and policies, ensuring they are aligned with the latest educational research and best practices.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess a minimum of 3 years' experience as a PGT in a reputable school. A postgraduate degree in Political Science or a related field is essential, with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree. While not mandatory, CTET or TET certification is highly preferred.
