A full-time Psychological Counsellor position is available at D.a.v Public School in Faridabad, Haryana. What You Will Do
1. Conduct individual and group counselling sessions for students aged 5-18 years.
2. Develop and implement intervention plans for academic, emotional, and social challenges.
3. Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student progress and well-being.
4. Maintain confidential records of all counselling sessions and interventions.
5. Organise workshops on mental health awareness, stress management, and life skills.
6. Liaise with external psychologists or special educators for referrals when needed.
7. Assist the school administration in creating a positive and inclusive school environment.
8. Monitor and report trends in student behavioural issues to the school leadership.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology from a recognised university. Minimum three years of experience in school counselling or a related field. Proficiency in MS Office and basic data management tools is essential.
Preferred Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff. Ability to design age-appropriate counselling programs. Familiarity with CBT techniques and child psychology principles. Knowledge of local resources for mental health referrals in Faridabad.
