The teacher also mentors junior staff and assists in the development of science club activities and inter‑school competitions.
Periodic Responsibilities
Periodically, the teacher participates in curriculum reviews and updates lesson plans to incorporate new scientific developments and teaching resources. Annual science fairs and district examinations require preparation of student projects, laboratory safety protocols, and grading rubrics. The teacher also contributes to school newsletters and parent‑teacher meetings, presenting student achievements and addressing concerns.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a postgraduate degree and a B.Ed or D.El.Ed. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in teaching science at the secondary level is required, with a strong grasp of laboratory practices and educational technology.
Salary
