Job Description
Primary Responsibilities of the PRT English Teacher at Suncity School, Gurugram
Teach English as a core subject to students from Class I to VIII, ensuring alignment with the school’s curriculum and CBSE guidelines. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning levels, using interactive methods like storytelling, group discussions, and multimedia tools.
Assess student progress through continuous evaluation, including weekly assignments, quizzes, and periodic tests. Maintain detailed records of student performance to support academic growth and provide constructive feedback.
Collaborate with the principal and senior teachers to integrate English skills across other subjects, fostering a holistic learning environment. Participate in school events, such as poetry recitals, debates, and cultural fests, to promote language fluency and confidence.
Prepare classroom materials like worksheets, flashcards, and visual aids to enhance teaching effectiveness. Stay updated on educational trends and teaching methodologies to refine instructional approaches.
Engage parents through regular communication, including parent-teacher meetings and updates on student achievements. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere for all students.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with a minimum of three years of teaching experience in English. Possess a valid TET/CTET certificate, though not mandatory for this role.
A graduate degree in English or a related field is required. Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, is essential. Experience with CBSE syllabus and modern teaching techniques is highly valued.
