Social Science (TGT) Vacancy in Gurugram, Haryana
Anandi School | Gurugram
Job Description
This position is for a dedicated TGT Social Science Teacher to join Anandi School in Gurugram, where you’ll shape young minds with a strong foundation in history, geography, economics, and political science. The role involves teaching students from Class 9 to 12, ensuring they grasp the relevance of social studies in daily life. You’ll also engage in lesson planning, classroom management, and student mentorship to foster critical thinking and civic awareness.
In your daily work, you’ll design engaging lessons that blend theory with real-world applications, such as case studies on India’s freedom struggle or global economic trends. Collaborating with the curriculum team, you’ll align your teaching with the latest CBSE syllabus while adapting methods to meet diverse student needs. Assessing student progress through projects, discussions, and exams will be a key part of your responsibility.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Social Science with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. While TET/CTET is not mandatory, having one will strengthen your application. A strong command of the English language and proficiency in Hindi are essential, as both are core subjects in the curriculum.
Experience in teaching Social Science to Class 9–12 students is preferred, ideally in a government or private school setting. Familiarity with modern teaching tools, like interactive whiteboards and digital resources, would be beneficial. Your ability to inspire curiosity about global and Indian social dynamics will be crucial in this role.
The monthly salary for this position ranges from Rs.30,000 to Rs.55,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Based in Gurugram, this role offers a dynamic environment where you’ll contribute to Anandi School’s mission of holistic education.
The location is ideal for those seeking a balance between urban convenience and a supportive teaching community. If you’re passionate about nurturing young scholars with a deeper understanding of society’s complexities, this could be the perfect opportunity.
