About Vikas Defence School

In the bustling lanes of Dhiranwas, just a short drive from the main market of Hisar, the air carries the scent of fresh mangoes in summer and the low hum of tractors in the fields. The neighbourhood is a mix of long‑standing families and newer arrivals drawn by the town’s growing opportunities, and Vikas Defence School has become a familiar landmark for many of us. Its red‑brick buildings stand opposite the old banyan tree where children used to play, and the school’s presence feels like a natural extension of the community’s daily rhythm.

The school follows the Haryana Board of School Education curriculum from Nursery right up to Class XII, and it does so with a steadiness that parents appreciate. Teachers, many of whom have been teaching here for over a decade, treat each class as a small workshop rather than a lecture hall, encouraging questions and practical work. What really sets Vikas Defence apart is the way it blends the standard state syllabus with specialised streams – commerce students get hands‑on exposure to computer basics and even UI/UX design, something you rarely see in other schools around Hisar. For those aiming at a career in business or technology, the extra training feels like a bridge to the real world.

Beyond the classroom, the school runs a boys’ hostel that feels more like a well‑looked‑after family home than a dormitory; experienced wardens keep the environment safe and the boys disciplined. Sports are taken seriously, with dedicated coaches guiding teams in volleyball, kabaddi and athletics, and the annual inter‑school meets are a source of pride for the whole area. In a town where options can be limited, Vikas Defence School offers a blend of solid academics, practical skills and a vibrant campus life that many families here have come to rely on.
