Role Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced PGT Economics Teacher to teach Economics to students in classes XI and XII. As a PGT Economics Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective lessons, assessing student progress, and promoting a love of learning among our students. You will be an integral part of our Economics department and will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement the curriculum.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Teach Economics to classes XI and XII, using a range of teaching methods and resources.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans, taking into account the needs and abilities of all students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve student outcomes.
- Mark and provide feedback on student assignments and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new initiatives and programs.
- Monitor and maintain the Economics department's resources and equipment.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and other events as required.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this role, you must have a postgraduate degree in Economics or a related field, with a B.Ed/D.El.Ed. degree. A minimum of three years of teaching experience in a school setting is also required. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience teaching Economics at the senior secondary level and those who have passed the CTET/TET exam.
